Named after Herman Melville's mysterious Scrivener, Bartleby is a large
collection of public domain works in literature, nonfiction, reference and
verse. You read in your browser, or download the ebooks for free to read
on your favorite device. 

Fantastic Fiction

This is an excellent resource for book series collectors who want to make sure
they purchase the right editions to match their collections. Search by title
or author and view the covers and editions.  

Goodreads

Goodreads is a social website where you can track the books you are reading
(or have read or want to read), get recommendations, search through lists and share
your love of books with friends if you like.  This is a flexible site that lets the user
participate as much or as little as they want. It is similar to LibraryThing, but
with more focus on ease of use.

LibraryThing

Keep track of what you own so you can see what gaps need filling. Connect
to like-minded people who enjoy reading organize your collection. LT is similar
to Goodreads, but with more of a focus on organization.

Project Gutenberg

Project Gutenberg was the first provider of free electronic books, or eBooks.
Michael Hart, founder of Project Gutenberg, invented eBooks in 1971. This
website provides thousands of full text books in the public domain.
