The 2014 festival will be held from October 23 - 26th in Newark, NJ's
Downtown Arts district. More than five dozen poets, storytellers, and
musicians will be performing at the NJPAC. The foundation is currently
accepting poetry submissions, some of which will be selected to be read
on stage by their authors.
Provided by the Poetry Foundation, this guidebook is a reprint of the first
chapter of Edward Hirsch's How To Read A Poem. Divided into 16 sections,
it provides strategies for beginners looking to read poetry and who want a
helping hand.
The Academy of American Poets has compiled this collection of frequently
asked questions for the poet looking to write and publish poetry. The FAQ
also contains links to other helpful resources.
