THIS CLASS IS FULL | A sculptor and master of anatomy who has traveled the world to learn his craft, Chris Raccioppi holds a virtual instruction session with experienced artists to spruce up their knowledge of how to portray the human body's musculature, bones and movement through space. During "normal" times, Chris holds the class in our building, enabling him to mix experienced and inexperienced artists in one class, but the exigencies of the Zoom format have required a choice between the two. We believe that Chris' skills are best utilized helping working artists hone their abilities. The class is full, but we continually monitor it for the rare open space.

Everyone who lives in the Hudson Valley area knows affable meteorologist, Joe Rao from his many years hosting weather broadcasts on News 12. Fewer are aware that he is an eminent astronomer, as well.

Joe has long been a guest lecturer at the Hayden Planetarium and writer for The Farmer's Almanac, and also pens for Space.com, as well as contributing a monthly astronomy column to Natural History Magazine.

Join Joe as he describes the exceptional Sunrise Eclipse coming on the morning of June 10th, when the usual orange ball is replaced by a fiery scimitar shaped crescent. Joe explores the myths and mechanics of eclipses, including the total solar eclipse crossing Upstate New York in 2024.
