Betsy will discuss her two award-winning books, Amoeba Hop, based on a song by her friend, Christine Lavin (the comedic folk writer/performer beloved of public radio fans for decades), and Jewels of the Sea, her new, scientifically vetted fiction about discovering diatoms -- jewel-like microorganisms that produce 25% of the oxygen we all breathe.
