Our popular adult craft teacher, Lorie Lotito instructs a two-part course in creating an artful bird's nest craft that can be hung anywhere in a breezeway, on a porch or kitchen.

In Part 1, you'll mount a pre-crafted bird's nest in a tripod of branches, then distress a clay bird to install within.

In Part 2, students will distress a clay pot, mount the nest tripod inside it and add some easy-care annuals.

Create your own summer terrarium in a blown glass globe with items foraged by instructor, Lorie Lotito, a volunteer with the Cornell Master Gardener Program. Sand, Sea shells and succulent plants... plus your own favorite beach souvenirs can be used, and you'll hang your finished creation from a piece of driftwood beach combed by Lorie, herself.

Max 12 adults. Register at 845 359-2811 or email bkoch@rcls.org.

THIS CLASS IS FULL | A sculptor and master of anatomy who has traveled the world to learn his craft, Chris Raccioppi holds a virtual instruction session with experienced artists to spruce up their knowledge of how to portray the human body's musculature, bones and movement through space. During "normal" times, Chris holds the class in our building, enabling him to mix experienced and inexperienced artists in one class, but the exigencies of the Zoom format have required a choice between the two. We believe that Chris' skills are best utilized helping working artists hone their abilities. The class is full, but we continually monitor it for the rare open space.
