The Medicare Open enrollment Period runs from October 15 to December 7. A counselor from a HIICAP (Health Insurance Information, counseling and Assistance Program) from the Rockland Office for the Aging will present on pertinent updates for the coming year. It's helpful for those who are newly eligible or will soon become so, and/or are confused about Medicare. A review of available Medicare options will be discussed, along with various financial assistance programs available to Medicare recipients.
