The library runs an ongoing booksale in the building, both to generate a little bit of revenue and to give some of our discontinued circulation materials a second life. Come into our booksale room (it's the little green one) and take a look around. Occasionally, we have larger booksales out of doors, which will be advertised in our newsletter and on our events page.
|Large Format Hardcover||$2|
|Pocket Books (4" x 6")||5 for $1|
|Large Format Paperbacks||$1|
|Videos||3 for $1|
We take continuous donations for our book sale room. If you'd like to donate something else, or make a monetary donation, please contact our director.
The library wishes to collaborate with local artists, and so we are working toward creating a public gallery space. When it is ready, we will invite local artists to apply for gallery space. Artists may list prices for their work, but the transactions must be done between the artist and the buyer. The Blauvelt Free Library will not take any percentage of the sale.
Do you have special skill that you'd like to share with others? Or a lecture that will tickle the minds of others? Consider presenting a program here at the library. To share your idea, call the library and pitch it to us!
The library provides volunteering opportunities during our special events, book sales, and during our regular operating hours. For more information, check our newsletter or give us a call.
