What's Spritz?

Spritz is a new way to read text, one word at a time, at speeds far greater than what can be achieved with traditional reading. The technology is still in its infancy, and support for mobile apps is still forthcoming.

However, you can ride this wave of techno-coolness right now in your web browser. First head over to Spritz, to take it for a test drive and see how fast you can get that reading speed. If the method seems like your cup of tea, and you're currently salivating thinking of all the great literature you're gonna be able to chew through, head to Squirt to download a bookmarklet that will enable you to read anything quickly in Safari or Firefox. If you're a Chrome user, you can download Readline, which is an extension that's a bit more sophisticated than Squirt, allowing you to pause, rewind, and advance text as you please.

If you're looking for something to really put this method to the test, jump over to Project Gutenberg where you can view hundreds of classic books in HTML format, perfect for use with your shiny new web toy.

Happy reading!
